First of the Month...

Okay, one of my good friends introduced me to this game called "Rabbit Rabbit"...it's basically Chicago's non-violent version of "Pinch Punch First of the Month", instead of punching someone you yell out "Rabbit Rabbit" on the first of every month and you steal their luck. Now, for the longest time I used to me the king at this game, but as of recently I've apparently lost my knack for it :/
Case and point, today. I managed to get all of one person....I usually rank up in the twenties or something. It appears as tho people are getting smarter and more creative in their rabbit rabbiting skills. Like for instance, one of my friends left me a msg on AIM when I was logged off...so when I logged back on, that was the first thing I saw...LAME!!! haha jk
Someone else left me a video message on Facebook, she looked so innocent seeing that she was just talking about stuff till, out of freakin nowhere! She busts out this sign that said "Rabbit Rabbit" in very fancy handwriting....talk about getting owned >__>

Well anyways, in other news....I'm slowly but surely learning how to play the piano!
My parents helped my buy a new Yamaha Clavinova piano, it's one of the most amazing pianos I've ever heard. For a digital piano [which don't exactly have the best reputation for sound quality] it sounded much more clean and full of colour then most of the actual legit acoustic grand pianos in the store!

I'm currently learning how to play Kiss the Rain by Yiruma. I have a handful of songs I wanna try and learn by the time summer ends, but we'll see how far I get when that time comes xP
At the moment I have the first eight or so measures of the song committed to memory...but I can't play the bass and treble at the same time >__>
Yeah, I'd like to say that I'm living proof that men can't multitask lol

Yep, so that's about all that's crackin...I got nothing deep to talk about or share with you guys today :/
Don't worry, I'll get something to talk about eventually...but until then.

Thanks,

Man in the Mirror...

So I decided to create this blog so I can talk about life, as well as work on self discovery...[and a friend encouraged me to start one]

In life I wanna be able to look at the man in the mirror and be content with who I find staring back at me.
My old coach and long time friend once told me to read a poem, the poem was entitled "The Guy in the Glass" by Dale Wimbrow.

The Guy in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that guy has to say.

For it isn't your Father, or Mother, or Wife,
Who judgement upon you must pass.
The feller whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the guy staring back from the glass.

He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest,
For he's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the guy in the glass is your friend.

You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,
And think you're a wonderful guy,
But the man in the glass says you're only a bum
If you can't look him straight in the eye.

You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the guy in the glass.

This poem basically explains the importance of being true to YOURSELF; because when it all comes down to it, if your not true to yourself, your not true to anyone.
In all honesty, I don't want to be someone who changes who I am to fit in with a certain crowd. I wanna be able to be myself NO matter what.

As I stated above, my goal is self discovery, as well as learning to stay true to myself.
Not conforming to what our modern day society says is "acceptable" but to what I feel is acceptable...to be honest and faithful, not letting anyone sway me from the path I have chosen to be mine.
It is my hope and prayer that I hold steady to this and do my best to fulfill my ambitions...while keeping your guys posted of course ;)

So, for those of you who are interested in what this guy's got going for himself, feel free to check in everyday. I'll be doing my best to update you guys on what's crackin in my life, as well as dropping in some small insight of I have learned about this world :)

Thanks for following,
